Athar Husain, Director, Centre for Objective Research and Development(CORD) has cautioned the Indian policy to keep the release of religion based Census 2011 data out of the domain of Politics, since any wrongful interpretation of the Census data statistics will unnecessary create fissures in society. As Socio-Economic analysis the reduce in the population growth is welcome, which is both in the Hindu and Muslim community,Hindu growth has reduced from 20.3% in 2001to16.8% in 2011 whereas Muslim growth rate has reduced from 29.5% in 2001 to 24.6% in 2011which is quite significant.More the socio economic backwardness more will be population growth, so Socio-Economic backwardness of deprived communities like Muslims be addressed to have better results of population control. Communalising this issue will have negative impact and will not address to the issue. Athar Husain

In a joint statement of Centre for Objective Research and Development(CORD)Prof.Ramesh Dixit(Co-Chairman,CORD) and Athar Husain(Director,CORD) have expressed the need for prompt judicial redressal to victims of any crime which is based on hate such as communal riot killings or terror acts.On Yaqub Memon's conviction they have expressed that law has taken its own course and citizens of this country have immense faith in judiciary and to reimpose this faith due judicial redressal to 1992 Mumbai riot and 2002 Gujrat riot victims is immediately required. For that cancellation of bail of Maya Kodnani and Babu Bajrangi will be a prompt start.
In a joint statement both have urged that the functioning of the Executive and Judiciary be in tandem to give Justice to All.Every perpetrator of crime involved in the killing of innocent Indian be brought to justice without making a distinction whether that innocent Indian was killed in communal riot or terror act.
