Centre for Objective Research and
Development (CORD), situated at 37, Cantt.
Road, Lucknow was established by group of
scholars, academicians, civil right
activists and prominent professionals of
different fields. CORD has envisaged a blue
print for comprehensive development of civil
society, where there is no discrimination in
the name of religion, gender and caste.
Since its inception in September 2008, CORD
is actively involved in improving the
primary education infrastructure in U. P.
specially in the minority areas. Mr. Siraj
Iqbal (F. I. Group and F. I. Educational and
Welfare Society), Mr. Kamal Faruqui
(Confederation of Minority Educational
Institutions of India) and Mr. Athar Husain
(Lucknow First Society) took the lead in its
formation where at consensus it was
conceived that the socio-economic condition
of the minorities specially Muslims in U. P.
can only be improved by developing the solid
infrastructure for primary education.
